It is our ultimate goal to offer doula services to anyone, regardless of financial ability to pay for our services. To that end, each doula in our group offers pro bono work and a sliding scale for all clients.
In addition, we utilize outside resources and services to meet the needs of the dying by using donations received through our non-profit foundation. Bay Area ELDA has partnered with Dream of a Better World, a 501(c)3 organization, to provide end-of-life doula care and related services for those with financial limitations. These funds will be used for last wishes, comfort care, medical equipment and supplies, funeral expenses, travel expenses, or to purchase incidentals related to finding meaning, peace, comfort, joy and love at the end of life. Everyone is entitled to a dignified and peaceful death, and while we have a long way to go, this is our little sliver of support towards that goal of a “good death” for all people facing the end of life.
We appreciate any donations to help us continue to provide this service to as many people as possible. And please, never let finances get in the way of you contacting us. We will be there for your final stage of life, whether you can pay us or not.
